PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanohorn composite good in the adsorptive or including properties and releasing properties, especially sustained-release properties, as a new drug carrier in the drug delivery system, and to provide a method for producing the composite. PSOLUTION: The drug carbon nanohorn composite is such one that a steroid-based drug or metal-containing drug is adsorbed to or included in oxidation-opened carbon nanohorns.
