METHOD FOR CONTROLING THE COUPLING AND DISCONNECTION OF THE FIRST ENGINE AND THE SECOND ENGINE OF A PARALLEL HYBRID MOTOR GROUP. The invention relates to a method for controlling the coupling and decoupling of the first engine and the second engine of a parallel hybrid powerplant (motive energy), comprising a first engine (11) directing an input shaft (4) at the input a gearbox (15), a second engine (12) and a coupling / uncoupling means (13) of the second engine and the first engine, maneuverable between an open position and a closed position, to enable a change from the gearbox when the engine group operates in hybrid mode, according to which the motivating power group is controlled to decouple the second engine and the first engine then changing the gearbox ratio, and re-coupling the second engine and the first motor. The motor group control rules are used in such a way that during coupling and decoupling, the established torque value for the input shaft comprises a discontinuity selected to compensate for the difference between the inertia produced by the input shaft when the second motor is coupled to the first motor and the inertia produced by the first input shaft when the second motor is decoupled from the first motor in order to avoid any sudden variation in the acceleration of the input shaft directed by the motor group at the time of decoupling or coupling.
