The present invention relates to the detection of nitrogenous substances (amino acids, peptides, amines and their derivatives) using "online" postcolumn derivatization rigid derivatizing agent (honey or insoluble copper compound) for a spectrophotometric detection in the ultraviolet and visible (UV-VIS) spectrum.
