The present invention relates to a device (Fig. 2) for the laboratory determination of unsaturated hydraulic conductivity of the porous material that is adapted to measure the time dependence of the impedance changes of a porous material (e.g., soil) at its saturation with water, and which is characterized in that it consists of at least one pair electrodes that are placed on the surface or just below the surface of the at least one soil sample (7) taken in the withdrawal rollers (2) and inserted into the chambers (4) and (5) to set the potential of moisture .FI..sub.1. n. and .FI..sub.2.n., whereby the device is accompanied by another electrical conductor (8), connecting the electrodes to the inputs of the multiplexer (9) and through to the inputs of a measuring bridge (11), when the periodic change of channel address (10) of the multiplexer (9) generated by the generator (14) cyclic addresses, which is controlled by the time generator (15) and data logger (13) monitors the impedance of the currently connected electrode pair i-th measured sample (7).
