A brush-type feeder of the present invention consists of a sliding hopper (3) having a resilient collar (4) being fixedly attached in the upper section of the hopper (3) and all over the periphery thereof. The resilient collar (4) is attached at its other end to a throat of a storage tank (2). In the direction of bulk material (1) transportation, there is rotatably mounted a drum (6) that is provided with fixedly attached elastic bristles (5). Said rotatably mounted drum (6) is provided with a drive (7) and openings (8). Inside of the rotatably mounted drum (6), there are distributed cleaning nozzles with a possibility of adjustment (10). In a piping, which is disposed behind the rotatably mounted drum (6) with elastic bristles (5), there are mounted in the direction of transport, adjustable direction nozzles (12), which further fulfill a function of compressed-air haulage. By combining speed of the rotating drum (6) with bristles (5), the speed of the sliding hopper (3) movements and a pressure of carrying medium (9) flowing into the cleaning nozzle with possibility of adjustment (10), there is achieved a required emptying of the sliding hopper (3).
