A laminate structure (100, 200) for making flexible packages is disclosed. The laminate structure (100, 200) includes a first layer (110, 210) and a second layer (120, 220). The first layer (110, 210) is made of polymeric film of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and being optionally reverse printed (112). The second layer (120, 220) is made of polymeric film of either Oriented Polypropylene (OPP) or PET. The second layer (120, 220) includes metallization (122) and hard embossed holograms (124) on at least one surface (120a) thereof. The second layer (124) from the side (120a) having metallization (122) and hard embossed holograms (124) is configured with the first layer (110) towards the side thereof having reverse print (112). Further, the laminate structure (100, 200) may include a third layer (230) of polymer made of Polyethylene film or extruded layer, when the second layer (220) is of non-heat sealable OPP or PET film.
