The present invention relates to a method of removing thermoplastic bone cement using solvation energy and sonomechanical energy. The method involves applying an organic solvent to the bone cement for disintegrating and dissolving the cement into the organic solvent and simultaneously agitating the said solvent to dissolve all of the solid bone cement into the solvent. The solvent used in the present invention have a range of Hildebrand solubility parameter between 7.5 to 10.5 cal1/2 cm"3/2 and agitating is done by ultrasonic sound ranging from 15 kHz to 30 kHz.
