The invention relates to chemical technology, particularly to synthesis method of platinum supported catalysts for selective oxidation of glycerol using molecular oxygen. The goal of present invention is to find simple, cheap and environmentally friendly platinum contained supported catalyst synthesis method for selective manufacturing of lactic acid by oxidation of glycerol that is by-product of processing biodiesel. There is developed novel extraction-pyrolysis method for synthesis of platinum supported catalyst. The novel method for synthesis of lactic acid and catalysts is simple, cheap and environmentally friendly.
