Described is a method for preparing core-shell thermosensitive polymeric nanoparticles including the following steps: a) preparing a micellar solution with an initiator dissolved in the aqueous phase, which is formed by one or more surfactants, a polymerization initiator and water; b) slowly dispensing a monomer or monomer mixture over the micellar solution with the dissolved initiator in the aqueous phase so as to form the polymeric nanoparticles, which would form the core; c) taking a fraction or the totality of the core latex obtained in the step b and slowly dispensing the monomer thereonto which upon polymerization will form the shell along with another functional monomer, which will act as a crosslinking agent. This method may form core-shell thermosensitive polymeric particles having sizes lower than 60 nm.
