The present invention is in the field of mushroom growth, specifically on a method of treating mushroom compost, a product obtainable thereby, and use thereof. By treating mushroom compost, normally being a low value or waste material, value is added. Even further, by treating mushroom compost it can be re-used, thereby reducing negative environmental effects.
