Multipotent adult progenitor cell treatment of brain injuries and diseases

The use of multipotent adult stems cells for treating a brain injury. The cells are not embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells or germ cells but can differentiate into at least one cell type from the endodermal, ectodermal and mesodermal embryonic lineages. The cells express telomerase and oct3/4 and are of allogenic or xenogenic origin. The cells are not used with an immunosuppressant or with an immunosuppressive therapy. The brain injury can be hypoxic ischemic brain injury, cortical infarction or stroke.
