A medical catheter fragments, sucks and removes embolic and thrombosis obstructions from blood vessels. The catheter has a working head that advances along a guide wire. The catheter has a flexible feed screw (13) operated by a remote rotary drive through a flexible hose (12). The screw operates in conjunction with the head in a scissor action.
