The invention relates to a central-medullary orthopaedic nail to be used in the treatment of diaphyseal fractures of long bones. According to the invention, the nail comprises some components (), the lengths and diameters of which may vary depending on the size and structure of the medullary canal of the bone, where the first component () has some orifices () and some internal and external threads () for the attachment to the tenth component () and to the second component () which is provided with some external and internal threads (), the latter ensuring the joint with the third component () which has some internal threads () for assembling it with second and fourth components (), the latter being made of a shape memory material, the fifth component () having a channel with a proximal and a distal portion provided with some external threads () for assembling the same with the third and sixth components (), as well as a medial portion in which some holes () are made, at the proximal and distal ends of the sixth component () there being provided some internal and external threads () for joining it with the fifth and seventh components (), the seventh component () being provided at its proximal and distal ends with some internal and external threads () for joining it with the sixth and eighth components () and having a longitudinal channel (), the ninth component () having an external thread () which joins it with the seventh component () and, at the lower part, there being cut some holes () through which some screws () can be introduced, the ninth component () also having an external thread () for assembling it with the first component ().
