PROCESS FOR THE PURIFICATION OF WASTE WATER OF 2-NAPHTHOL PRODUCTION

Disclosed is a process for the purification of waste water of 2-naphthol production by means of extraction with further regeneration of extractant with solution of caustic soda. The extraction is carried out by propiophenone at a temperature of 30-35 °C and volume ratio of propiophenone and waste water within 1:5-1:6, and regeneration of extractant is carried out at a temperature of 30-35 °C and volume ratio of extractant and solution of caustic soda within 3:1-4:1.
