A method for assessing melon breeding material on heat resistance thereof according to seed germination includes seed heating. Selections are carried out after heating the seed at a temperature of 58 °C in the course of 2 hours and keeping records on seed germination in 3-5 days, the probability deviation of the degree of heat resistance between the varieties is determined by a confidence range.
