A method for studying the quality of life and predicting the survival in the patients with chronic heart failure comprises clinical and laboratory examination and interviewing the patients as to the physical state of the patient under study. Each parameter is scored according to five-grade scale and the total score is calculated. The patients are examined prior to and after the treatment. The total scores prior to and after the treatment are compared. When the total score after the treatment is less than the total score prior to the treatment, the survival prognosis for the next 6 months is considered as favorable one.
