A method for determination of effective torque and effective power of a car motor is in that one increases fuel supply to maximum value with measurement of acceleration of crankshaft. Acceleration of crankshaft is determined through measurement of angular velocity of drive wheels of the car, and then one differentiates angular velocity with determination of effective torque by results of determination at running out carried out before, reduced to wheels moment of inertia of rotary masses of transmission and the motor, torques of dry and viscous friction in transmission, after that one determines power of motor by multiplication of effective torque by angular velocity of the shaft of the motor.
