METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF EFFECTIVE TORQUE AND EFFECTIVE POWER OF A MOTOR VEHICLE ENGINE

A method for determination of effective torque and effective power of a motor vehicle engine consists in that at assemblage of vehicle on conveyor at minimal frequency of idle running of the motor one instantaneously increases fuel supply to maximal value and at coming to rated frequency of rotation of crankshaft one measures angular acceleration of semi-axles with loading elements that have no contact with surface. Effective torque and effective power of the motor of vehicle is determined by multiplication of effective torque and angular velocity of the shaft of the motor, by results of preliminarily performed rundown of transmission and motor with balance masses installed on semi-axles.
