METHOD FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF POSTOPERATIVE INFLAMMATION IN PATIENTS WITH AGE-RELATED CATARACT IN COMBINATION WITH PRIMARY OPEN ANGLE GLAUCOMA

A method for prevention and treatment of the postoperative inflammation in the patients with age-related cataract in combination with the primary open angle glaucoma provides for eye instillations of Maxitrol and Dexamethasone 0.1 % 5 times a day within 5 days preoperatively, 1 % Mesaton twice a day for one month; parabulbar single postoperative injection of 1.0 mL of Diprospan. Phacovit in tablets is prescribed for 2 weeks preoperatively and one month postoperatively, 2 tablets twice a day. 1 % Emoxipine is instilled into the eye to be operated for 2 weeks preoperatively and one month postoperatively, 2 drops 4 times a day.
