METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF MORPHOFUNCTIONAL FEATURES OF THYROID

The method for the assessment of morphofunctional features of the thyroid comprises the estimation of the size of the principal thyroid components and the calculation of the ratios for determining the index of thyroid state. The extent of morphofunctional tension is assessed by measuring internal diameter of follicles, the height of follicular thyreocytes, the relative volumes of stroma and parenchyma. Finally, the index of morphofunctional tension is determined.
