PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR PORTABLE RADIO-ISOTOPE SURVEY APPARATUS

A device for protection of portable radio-isotope survey apparatus comprises protective rotary shell and a screen, those in initial position are connected and form a ball in which there is a source of ionizing radiation (SIR) and collimator closed with the screen, the surfaces of connection of the shell and the screen are spherically convex in the shell and concave in the screen. Common central axis of symmetry of spherical surfaces of the shell and the screen coincides with the central axis of the formed ball itself, the SIR and collimator. The axis of rotation of the shell intersects with the common central axis of the shell and the screen at right angle. Radius of the spherical surface of joint surface is at the screen somewhat larger compared to the shell, by minimal value enough for contact-less connection of those.
