摘要

This paper presents a novel MCs8098-based intelligent testing apparatus for microprocessor relay and protection system. Its hardware composition and software designed principles are described. Also its functions are features are introduced. According to operating process and action signals of relay under various faults of transmission line, the apparatus can provide corresponding transient waveforms of currents and voltages, status signals of power system for relay. Instead of the costly laboratory for simulating tests in dynamic, the apparatus can also carry out dynamic and static simulating tests of whole operating process for protective devices and adjusting tests for pilot-wire relay and distance protection. With the advantages of small in volume and low in cost, the apparatus is very suitable to worksite test and will be widely used in power system in future.
