A method for stimulating the growth and regeneration of the sciatic nerve in rats after complete intersection in the experiment with the diastase is a method for surgical treatment of the sciatic nerve. After the complete intersection of the sciatic nerve in rats in the experiment the proximal and distal stumps are placed in polyethylene tube with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the damaged nerve, so that between the stumps the diastasis is placed. This tube is connected to the outlet tube from the tank "Omaio" which is sutured in the subcutaneous tissue of the rat thigh, the wound on its thigh is sutured in layers. After the completion of this transaction in the "Omaio" tank drugs are transcutaneously injected to accelerate the growth and regeneration of the nerve.
