摘要
A method for preventing thromboembolism of the pulmonary artery in thrombectomy through the entry of the great saphenous vein in the case of the flotation of thrombus originating from this vein in the common femoral or external iliac vein provides for the use of tourniquets. Following the systemic administration of heparin at a dose of 5,000 U, the common femoral vein is compressed with the tourniquet at the level of the lower edge of the entry of the great saphenous vein. At the height of Valsalva test, thrombectomy is performed through sapheno-femoral anastomosis. Assuring oneself of the evident retrograde blood flow and the integrity of the head of thrombus, another tourniquet is applied for compressing the common femoral vein free of thrombotic masses at then level of the upper edge of the entry of the great saphenous vein. Then the first tourniquet is removed and the blood flow from periphery is checked. Upon assuring oneself of evident blood flow from periphery, the blood flow through the common femoral vein is recovered, and the entry of the great saphenous vein is ligated and sutured.
