The invention relates to isolated hog circovirus, which genome sequence corresponds to nucleic sequence SEQ ID NO: 1 or 2, to immunogenic composition, comprising the mentioned isolated hog circovirus and additionally at least one other microorganism or antigen, obtained from the mentioned microorganism, to the method for hog immunization against virus infection or post weaning multisystem wasting syndrome PMWS, or for prevention of post weaning multisystem wasting syndrome (PMWS) in hog, caused by the strain PCV2, by introduction of effective amount of the mentioned immunogenic composition, to the method for determination whether hog has post weaning multisystem wasting syndrome (PMWS) or has the risk of its development.
