An air traffic control system, for use by a controller that controls a plurality of airplanes (200), comprising a processor (318), an input device (316) and a device (312, 314) of visualization, further comprising: a means (1082) of path prediction for calculating a trajectory for each of said aircraft (200), for entering aircraft position data detected and for recalculating said trajectories based on said position data, and means for producing a visualization (314b) in said display device (314), indicating such circumstances, said visualization comprising a graph indicating, for a selected aircraft (3156), its future trajectory (3160) calculated from the altitude of the aircraft , and indicating a symbol for each one among a plurality of other aircraft (3170a-d), characterized in that it additionally comprises a means for entering and storing instruction data corresponding to flight level authorization instructions, issued by said controller to one of said other aircraft, and because said symbol (3170a-d), for each other aircraft, indicates both its current flight level and the flight levels for which flight level authorization instructions have been introduced.
