Capsule filling machine (100) for the production of capsules (C) of hard gelatine type with lid (3) and a body (2) containing therein a quantity (1) of pharmaceutical material, the machine (100 ) comprising a turret or rotating carousel (15) defining at least one line (L) treatment of capsules (C) and which are arranged, one after another: at least one station (6) for feeding capsules (C) empty; at least one opening station (20) where bodies (2) are separated capsule lids (3) to form two separate capsule bodies (2) and capsule caps (3) rows of capsule; at least one station (7) feeding and metering quantities (1) of pharmaceutical material to be filled into bodies (2) capsule; and at least one station (8) closing capsule (C) placing a cover (3) over each respective body (2); means (9) for detection and volumetric control of the amount (1) of pharmaceutical material filled into each capsule body (2); control means (9) also comprise, coupled with the carousel (15), a drive control portion (11) in which is made at least a number of dosing chambers (4) of a predetermined size (H , D), within each of which the amount (1) of pharmaceutical material is placed momentarily; the machine (100) being characterized in that the means of detection and control (9) comprise at least one linear transducer (5) able to measure the height (H1) of the quantities (1) of pharmaceutical material within each dosing chamber (4) in order to measure the volume of said quantities (1) before they are placed within bodies (2) capsule.
