A node (200) for a telecommunications system, wherein the node comprises functions for Policy Enforcement and Billing Functions in the system, called PCEF, where the node is equipped with interfaces (S5 / S8; Gx; Gy) to network functions for: - BBERF, a Bearer Association and Event Reporting Function, - PCRF, a Policy and Billing Rules Function, - OCS, an Online Billing System. wherein the node (200) is equipped with a function (210) to send a credit authorization and event information to the OCS, and to receive, in response, a credit authorization trigger from the OCS, where the node ( 200) also comprises a function (220) to forward such credit authorization triggers to the PCRF and to receive from the PCRF an acknowledgment of the installation of the triggers in the BBERF together with information concerning the events for which credit is requested, wherein the node (200) is characterized in that it comprises a function (230) to receive the result of a comparison between the event information that has been sent to the OCS and the event information that has been received from the BBERF, and if two are not similar, the receiving function (230) of the node will not consider the credit authorization completed.
