A method of detecting, imaging, locate and display an object emitting or reflecting UV radiation in an illuminated environment at a level to a daytime outdoor lighting, the method comprising: - imaging simultaneously a suspicious scene containing an object which emits or reflected UV radiation through two forming units separate image, a first unit imaging UV insensitive to sunlight (SBUV) (1) forming images in the spectral band SBUV and comprising an insensitive filter to sunlight (11) and a UV photocathode (13a), and a second unit forming visible image or IR (2) forming images in the visible spectral range or IR, respectively, wherein said forming simultaneous images involves collecting radiation from the scene through a common optical axis (1a ', 2a'), and use a beam splitter (4) which is located at the end of said common optical axis (100), divided radiation within said two forming units separated image, said beam splitter is highly reflective in the ultraviolet portion of the optical spectrum, and highly transmissive in the visible portion of the optical spectrum; y- combining (3) the images as they are obtained through such forming simultaneous images on a common optical axis (1a, 2a) overlapping in a way that minimizes image shifting a first image obtained from said first unit imaging (1) on a second image obtained from said second unit imaging (2) to form a combined and superimposed visual image showing reflection or UV radiation in its position within the backdrop of IR or visible scene respectively, without parallax because such collection of radiation from the scene through a common axis and the use of the beamsplitter.
