A method for obtaining biomass energy which has been removed at least part of the carbohydrates or oil, or both, comprising: a) introducing biomass into the interior of a chamber vertically elongated combustion comprising : i) at least one incinerator suspended in the upper part of the combustion chamber and has the ability to project a flame into the bottom of the shaft of the combustion chamber, ii) an apparatus for heat transfer in which part of the collector is surface heat, which must be radially positioned relative to the flame and below the incinerator, and (iii) an exhaust opening located below the flame and below at least part heat collecting surface; b) combustion of biomass to produce a mixture containing hot flue gas and molten ash above the level of the exhaust port; c) heat transfer from the hot flue gas at least a portion of the collector surface heat substantially by the previous radiation to any substantial contact of the ash with a surface of the combustion chamber to produce a mixture of quenching gas combustion and unmelted ash and having a lower ash content than the molten mixture produced in the combustion phase; d) cooling the warm flue gas with cooler gas to produce a mixture containing cooled combustion gas and ash unmelted and having a lower ash content than the molten mixture produced in the transfer step.
