Surgical implant (1) of the intersomatic cage type for the fusion of vertebral bodies by transforaminal approach, which comprises a curved profile body intended to be implanted between the vertebral plates of two adjacent vertebrae and at least one housing open at the top and by the lower part to receive a bone graft element, characterized in that said curved profile body comprises a rear manipulation part and an anterior attack part, said front part of attack being constituted by a lower tongue (12) and by an upper tongue (11) adapted to receive between them a separator element (30) that can slide between an insertion position in which it is close to said rear manipulation part and a separation position in which it is located next to a limb of the aforementioned anterior part of attack from which it increases the thickness by separation ion of the tongues (11, 12), said separator element comprising an open housing for the upper part and for the lower part adapted to receive said bone graft element in said insertion position and to bring it at the level of a part anterior of the aforementioned vertebral plates in said separation position.
