Method of preparation, storage, and use in fish, the Probiotic Shewanella putresfaciens Pdp11 for disease control and growth enhancement. Preferably the probiotic, comprising whole cells of Pdp11 strain is grown for 24 TSAs 22C. Preparing a suspension of probiotic, preferably without prior lyophilization process or physical or chemical inactivation it is performed by their incorporation into a matrix of alginate, preferably 0.5% alginate sadist. The prepared suspension can be stored without significant loss of viability during 20 to 30 days at 4. Food fish are prepared by the addition under stirring of the suspension of probiotic and additionally CaCl Sub {2} 50 mM, preferably by spraying.
