METHOD FOR DEVELOPING AN OIL FIELD USING A RESERVOIR MODEL THAT IS GRADUALLY DISTORTED THROUGH CO-SIMULATIONS

Method of exploiting an oil deposit from a reservoir model gradually deformed by means of cosimulations. We have a map of a property of the deposit obtained by means of a stochastic simulation of a first random function. We choose a correlation coefficient between this first random function and a second random function with the same mean and same covariance. Then, we modify the map by performing a co-simulation of the two random functions using the correlation coefficient. The correlation coefficient is modified and the cosimulation step is repeated to deform the map and minimize an objective setting function. Finally, the deposit is exploited by implementing a modified exploitation scheme to take account of the deformed map.
