This patent application is for a new thermodynamic cycle and related enginedesign of future engines that would be: not polluting; super-efficient; andfully fuelflexible. The thermodynamic cycle combines the Otto thermodynamic cycle withadditional processes such as 1) recovery of energy left from the expansion ofexhausts 2) using the recovered energy to re-compress the expanded exhausts3) expanding the exhaust again 4) repeating the above process 1) to process 3)until no heat is left in exhaust. The max pressure over the work producingpistonrepeats when the crank is horizontal. Doing so boosts the torque by twoorders.In general, variables affecting the thermodynamic cycle include ways ofreleasingthe energy from fuel, either by detonation or combustion; the number of powerstrokes from each energy release; whether or not the engine has valves and thespeed of the engine, which affects the internal cooling process that preservesheat. Designs based on those variables are presented. In effect, the inventioncombines two thermodynamic cycles: one takes place in the primary energychamber and the other takes place in the energy recovery chamber - the cyclesinfluence each other. This relationship maximizes efficiency. Also a piston,engine designs and engines developed according to the cycle together with someapplications are presented.
