Disclosed is a fresh water production method which can produce clarified water such as fresh water from non-clarified water such as sea water with high efficiency.  Specifically disclosed is a fresh water production method for producing fresh water by means of reverse osmosis filtration.  The method comprises mixing low-salt-concentration water having a lower salt concentration than that of sea water with sea water to produce a water mixture and subsequently subjecting the water mixture to reverse osmosis filtration, thereby producing fresh water.
