The invention relates to a detection system, according to which one or more light sources are switched on at defined time intervals, using a control unit. The light emitted from the operational light sources is fed via the optical fibre that is assigned to the respective light source to a solid body sensor that is allocated to the light source. In said sensor, the optical signal is modified according to the temperature. The modified optical signal is fed via optical fibres to an optical mixer, in which the modified optical signals of all solid body sensors are combined and the resultant optical signal is fed from the mixer to an optical detection system, where the spectral characteristics of the optical signal are converted in a time-resolved manner into electric signals. An evaluation unit then calculates one or more temperatures from said time-resolved electric signals.
