The invention concerns medicine and can be used to manufacture liquid compositions for external application, possessing antimicrobic properties and intended for preventive maintenance and treatment of diseases of integuments of people, for treatment of wounds and ulcers and for stimulation of regeneration and healing of wound surfaces in the syndrome of diabetic foot. The composition for preventive maintenance and care of diabetic foot comprises a film-forming substance, an antimicrobic agent in polar solvent and a locally anesthetic substance. The new compositions additionally contain a second antimicrobic agent on the basis of a mix of nano structured powders of bentonite intercalated by ions of silver (Ag⁺) and ions of cerium (Ce³⁺). The use of the new compositions according to the present invention, in preventive maintenance and treatment of the effects of the syndrome of diabetic foot, has promoted suppression of the microbic infection in wounds, acceleration of regeneration and healing of integuments of patients.
