In a part designation device according to the present invention, instead of part designation using a relative coordinate passively causing display displacement of a label and so forth, the part designation is implemented using index information indicative of the order of a designation element corresponding to the part designation location among a plurality of elements. That is, by converting the relative coordinate for the part designation location into the index information indicative of the order of the designation element corresponding to the part designation location among a plurality of elements and designating the part in a page using the index information obtained by this conversion, even if the same elements coexist in the page, the part in the page can be uniquely designated, and even if the display environment fluctuates, the occurrence of the display displacement of the label and so forth with respect to the designation part can be prevented.
