A digital cable television system, for data interaction via a wireless terminal, includes a digital television reception terminal, a wireless transceiving module, a wireless terminal and a server. The wireless transceiving module is internal or external to the digital television reception terminal, and physically connected to the digital television reception terminal. The wireless transceiving module is wirelessly connected to the wireless terminal; the wireless terminal is connected to the server via a wireless network; and the server is connected to the digital television reception terminal via a cable television network. The present invention also provides a method for data interaction via a wireless terminal. In the present invention, the digital cable television system and method for data interaction via a wireless terminal enables a user to enjoy rich services such as services on demand, time-shift, application downloading, network games, etc., enables two-way interaction between the digital television reception terminal and the server via a one-way digital cable television network, and saves the rebuilding cost of a one-way digital cable network.
