The present invention provides a mapping method and apparatus for a common search space of a relay node (RN). The method comprises: an evolved Node B (eNB) determining the common control resource to be mapped by the common search space according to the common control resource reserved for the relay node; mapping the common search space of the relay node onto the first slot or the second slot, or both the first slot and the second slot of the determined common control resource. By providing a mapping method for a common search space of a relay node, the present invention ensures the accurate reception of common information by the relay node, and at the same time solves the problems of decoding delays and resource occupation, thus improving the working efficiency of the mobile communication system, and more fully utilizing the relay link resource.
