The device (1) has a concrete valve (60) i.e. slide valve, arranged in a conduit arrangement and blocking a connection between a concrete connection i.e. pipe socket, and a drill string connection (3) i.e. flange element, that is connected to a drill string. A gas valve (70) is arranged in the conduit arrangement and blocks a connection between a gas connection (7) and the string connection. The concrete valve has a mechanical operating unit for operating the gas valve. The operating unit is arranged in such a manner that the gas valve is closed when the concrete valve is opened. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a concrete borehole.
