POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE-BASED STRONG BASIC ION EXCHANGE FIBER AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed are a method for preparing a polyphenylene sulfide-based strong basic ion exchange fiber and a fiber prepared by the method. The preparation method comprises: swelling a raw material polyphenylene sulfide fiber in a solvent; after swelling, adding a raw material chloromethyl ether and a catalyst and heating to undergo chloromethylation and cross-linking, so as to obtain a chloromethylated and cross-linked polyphenylene sulfide fiber after reaction; and then swelling the resulting chloromethylated and cross-linked polyphenylene sulfide fiber in a solvent, adding a trimethylamine solution after swelling, and heating the reaction solution to undergo quaternization, so as to obtain the product polyphenylene sulfide-based strong basic ion exchange fiber after quaternization; and finally, subjecting the resulting product to washing, suction, salt washing, and drying. In preparation of the strong basic ion exchange fiber by using the method of the present invention, the preparation method is simple, the production cost is low, and promotion and application in industry can be easily achieved. The product prepared by the present invention is applicable to the field of industrial wastewater treatment, air cleaning, preparation of ultra-pure water and separation and extraction of pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
