A Korean alphabet input apparatus using a touch screen includes a character input unit and a character combination unitfor displaying characters by combining consonants and vowels according to a signal inputted from the touch screen by the character input unit, wherein the touch screen displays an input window sensed by a touch and an output window for outputting a result of character combinations, the input window includes character input keys in which single-consonants, a firstvowel 'ㅣ' and a second vowel 'ㅡ' are independently disposed, and the character combination unit composes a Korean alphabet by selecting a consonant and a vowel according to a touch characteristic, which indicates a single-touch or a multi-touch, and a touch direction, which indicates a dragging direction of the touch.
