A chip for consumption material and a container for consumption material are disclosed. The chip for consumption material is provided with a base, on which a communication unit and an electronic module connected electrically with the communication unit are arranged. The electronic module is provided with an interface unit (41), a control unit (42) for receiving a signal sent from the interface unit (41), and a non-volatile memory (43) and a volatile memory (44) which are connected with the control unit (42) respectively. A power supply unit (47) is provided for supplying electric current to the volatile memory (44). A first diode (D1) is connected between a DC power supply of the communication unit and the volatile memory (44), an anode of the diode is connected to the DC power supply, and a cathode thereof is connected to the volatile memory (44). The electronic module is further provided with an isolation unit (45) which is connected between the control unit (42) and the volatile memory (44).
