An electrical connector system (50) comprises a circuit board (58) having a mounting side, and first and second electrical connectors (54, 56) mounted to the mounting side of the circuit board (58). Each of the first and second electrical connectors (54, 56) has a mating interface (216). The first and second electrical connectors (54, 56) are mounted to the circuit board (58) in an offset (410) configuration such that the mating interfaces (216) of the first and second electrical connectors (54, 56) are parallel to one another and non-coplanar with respect to one another.
