The mold (101) has core bodies (107, 120) forming a cavity on lower faces (107b, 120b) opposed to upper faces (107a, 120a) presenting molded form. The cavity is closed by rectangular plates (105, 119). Removable inserts (110, 122) fill the cavity to absorb the compression and tensile force created during molding a part. Ejectors (112) traverse the plates, the inserts and the bodies. Body and die temperature control circuits (125, 126) e.g. grooves, control the temperature of the body and a die, respectively, and are formed at an interface between the lower faces and the inserts. The inserts are made by casting of concrete e.g. high performance or ultra-high performance concrete or polymer concrete. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a mold.
