Arrangement for filling cracks in railway sleepers

The method involves using a casting agent with pourable epoxy resin mortar for sealing cracks in concrete crossties, where the cracks exhibit width equal to or less than 1 mm. The mortar contains a mixture of epoxy resin binder e.g. Icosit KC 220/60 TX(RTM: 2-component epoxy binder), and quartz sand, where the quartz sand exhibits grain size of 0.1 to 1 mm. A mixture ratio of the binder and the quartz sand is 1 to 1. The sealed cracks are dried by a propane thawing device before the cracks are cast with the mixture. An independent claim is also included for a casting agent comprising pourable epoxy resin mortar.
