METHOD FOR CALCULATING IMAGE VISUAL SALIENCY BASED ON COLOR HISTOGRAM AND OVERALL CONTRAST

A method for calculating image visual saliency based on color histogram and overall contrast is disclosed, which relates to image-processing technical field. The method includes following steps: S1: quantifying color space to get a group of representative color; S2: calculating appearing frequency in an input image of the color corresponding to said representative colors to form a histogram; S3: calculating the saliency values of the representative color based on the difference between each representative color and other representative colors​​; S4: evaluating the saliency values for pixels corresponding to each representative color. The method can quickly and efficiently analyze the saliency values of the image pixels​​.
