This glasses device is provided with: a light amount adjustment unit which adjusts the amount of light transmitted to a viewer's left eye and right eye, and performs auxiliary operations to assist the viewing of a video to allow stereoscopic perception thereof; a power storage unit for storing power for running the auxiliary operations in the light amount adjustment unit; and a transmission unit for transmitting a notification signal for notification about the state of the power storage unit. The notification signal includes charging information indicating whether or not the power storage unit is being charged, and remaining power information representing the amount of power stored in the power storage unit.
