DIAGNOSIS, PROGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF SCIRRHOUS GASTRIC CANCER

The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing scirrhous gastric cancer and predicting the response of a patient diagnosed with scirrhous gastric cancer to a medicament. More specifically, the present invention provides methods which measure kinase activity by studying phosphorylation levels and profiles in gastric samples. Additionally, the present invention provides in the use of multi tyrosine kinase inhibitors (MTKI) for the treatment of scirrhous gastric cancer.
